School Matinees

2010 School Matinees have now SOLD OUT! Join us next year.

In 2010 all School Matinee and Ambassador Night performances cost the following for school group: $15 per student, teachers pay $20.

There must be one adult for every fifteen students booked. One teacher's ticket is complimentary.

All school matinees are scheduled at 11am to accommodate travel times and enable students to participate in our post-show forum series where young people and their teachers discuss the performance with cast and crew.

Be sure to have ready and include all your school contact details, chosen performance and the number of attending students and adults.

Each play in the school matinee programme is followed by a Q & A Forum with the cast and creative team and supported by an Education Pack produced in association with NZ Post.

Inspired by its magical setting this exciting, interactive performance invites you to take part in a wild imaginary ride, share amazing stories and experience site-specific theatre created especially for young audiences in the glittering Salon Perdu on the waterfront.

The Salon Perdu is a European Mirror Tent (spiegeltent) - the ultimate cabaret and music salon. Spiegeltents are hand-sewn pavilions used as travelling dance halls and entertainment salons since they were created in the early 20th century. There are only a handful of these unique and legendary ‘tents of mirrors’ left in the world today.

This production is suitable for primary and intermediate

year levels 5–8.
