At Auckland Theatre Company, we believe that theatre is for
everyone, from children to grandparents, teenagers to parents,
newcomers to hard-core enthusiasts.
ATC Participate is our community programme, providing
accessible, fun ways for the whole family to get actively involved
with theatre processes.
You can learn new skills, try acting for the first time, watch
open rehearsals, attend open days and play-readings, get to see
behind-the-scenes and take part in community shows.
To celebrate the move to our new premises at 487 Dominion Road,
we are running a year-long project called DOMINION ROAD STORIES. We
invite you to share your stories and memories about life on
Dominion Road, and there are lots of easy ways that you can
contribute to this project.
In the April School Holidays we went go Southside,
collaborating with students from the innovative Pacific Institute
of Performing Arts (PIPA) to present SINARELLA - a follow-up to
2011's hit, POLLY HOOD IN MUMULAND. This new musical
comedy was the perfect school holiday treat for the whole
family.
Later in October, we again join forces with PIPA to present
TSUNAMI - dedicated to those affected by the
devastating events in Samoa in 2009.
Join the movement.
Occupy the theatre.
Get involved.
