Bryan is a theatre and event lighting designer who has worked with most of Auckland’s leading theatre companies. For ATC he designed for Twelve Angry Men, Honour, Master Class, All My Sons, Molly Sweeney, Arcadia and Uncle Vanya. Other recent designs include Quick (Te Papa) Into The Woods, Assassins, and Aladdin (Watershed), Pinocchio (Aotea Centre), Giselle (Auckland Ballet Company), Still Speeding, Legacy (Maidment Youth Theatre and Herald Theatre) And Forbidden Memories (Douglas Wright Dance Company). Bryan co-wrote and designed Alice In Wonderland (Aotea Centre and the Bruce Mason Theatre). Event Lighting includes the Axis Advertising Awards and the DB Warriors Opening Match. Bryan also creates theatrical installations with Set Designer Tracey Collins, exploring performance energy and design in Art Environments, of which Our Name is Object and I Had a Thought exhibited at Artspace.
