John Parker


John began designing sets at Theatre Corporate where he was Head of Design from 1986-1986. Productions included Cabaret, Three Sisters, Macbeth and Wednesday to Come. As resident Designer at the Mercury Theatre (1986-1989) John worked on such productions as The Mikado, Gypsy, The Homecoming, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Glorious Ruins. Since turning to freelance work in 1989 his major theatre works include The Holy Sinner, The Threepenny Opera, Chess, Pack of Girls, Romeo & Juliet, Titus Andronicus, Into The Woods, Saving Grace, Eugenia, and Waiora. For ATC he designed the set for Honour, Dead Funny and Lovelock's Dream Run. John has an MA degree from London's Royal College of Art and is an internationally renowned potter with work represented in many private and public collections.
