Maria Walker’s debut with Auckland Theatre Company was in 2005 with The Bach, followed by The Pohutukawa Tree in 2009 and, now, the Kensington Swan season of The Cherry Orchard. This marks the third occasion on which she has worked alongside Colin McColl. Since graduating from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 2009, she has been in pursuit of TV and film roles with Gail Cowan Management in Auckland. Most recently, she has performed in feature film Waru and soon-to-be released Hawaiian feature film Ni’ihau. After a long hiatus from the stage, Maria is to be reunited with theatre alongside this beautifully talented cast in Chekhov’s adored work.
