Nancy Brunning


Nancy Brunning’s brilliance as an actor has been honoured with numerous awards. She won Best Actress at the Nokia New Zealand Film Awards 1999 for her lead role in WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED? and Best Actress at the TV Guide New Zealand Television Awards 2000 for her role in NGA TOHU – SIGNATURES.

Brunning’s theatre credits include roles in BLUESMOKE, during the 2000 International Festival of the Arts; and Briar Grace-Smith’s award-winning PURAPURAWHETU and Hone Kouka’s WAIORA, which both toured here and abroad. She has appeared in the feature films, CROOKED EARTH and WHEN LOVE COMES ALONG. Brunning recently appeared in the TV3 drama FISH SKIN SUIT, also by Grace-Smith.
