Auckland Theatre Company’s Associate Director Oliver Driver returns to the stage after most-recently taking the Director’s role for the company’s sell out season of THE BLUE ROOM. His last stage performance was in Auckland Theatre Company’s production of SERIAL KILLERS. Television credits include lead roles in SHORTLAND STREET and CITY LIFE, for which he won Best Actor at the 1997 NZ Film and Television Awards. He had lead roles in several films, including TOPLESS WOMEN TALK ABOUT THE LIVES, MAGIK & ROSE and the yet-to-be-released SNAKESKIN.
Co-launching ATC 2ECOND UNIT, Oliver has already set in place the inaugural programme opening doors to new artists and new audiences as well as providing vital training ground for new theatre practitioners keen to learn the tools of the trade.
The first ATC 2ECOND UNIT production, which Oliver will direct, is ATROCITIES by Sugar&Spice at The Herald from 13 – 28 July 2001.
