Vivien Bridgwater


Vivien is Ngati Whatua and mother of three children.

Vivien has a background in New Zealand broadcasting, media and education sectors and over 20-years experience in high-level governance roles in both not-for-profit and corporate organisations. As a passionate Aucklander, she was on the original Board of ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development) taking up a management position, focused on the brand development and marketing of Auckland. Currently, Vivien works as an Independent Consultant, Coach, and Board Director. She strongly believes that the ‘arts’ is an essential component of the Auckland story.

Previously, Vivien has worked at AUT University in a senior administration role, a portfolio including brand, marketing and public relations, the non-academic student journey, government relations, and was heavily involved with the development of the AUT South Campus.

Vivien is deeply committed to; children, young people, communities, and the social transformation of our society and a long time supporter.
