Our Youth Company is a transformative programme dedicated to developing emerging theatre artists aged 18-25. We believe in creating a dynamic, supportive environment where young creatives can explore, challenge, and expand their artistic potential.
We're in the fifth year of ATC's Youth Company, and the energy is electric. What started as an experiment in nurturing young theatrical talent has become a platform for emerging artists to find their voice, challenge conventions, and reimagine performance.
This year's cohort represents an ambitious group of performers deeply committed to learning about and creating theatre. These artists are proving that the future of theatre isn't just coming - it's already here.

A rigorous pathway programme designed to engage young actors and artists, enabling participants to explore theatre through performance opportunities that nurture professional skills and amplify emerging voices in New Zealand's contemporary theatre landscape.
We believe in creating a dynamic, supportive environment where young creatives can explore, challenge, and expand their artistic potential.
Our Youth Company is a part-time, year-long programme offered free to participants aged 18-25 that lets young people learn in a working theatre, feel comfortable in this space, and to train in an environment that acknowledges being an artist takes enormous strength and resilience.
