Ticketing Terms & Conditions

Please read the following information carefully. All Auckland Theatre Company Limited (“ATC”)  tickets are sold subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. ATC (and, at venues not operated by ATC, the venue operator) reserves the right to refuse admission, or to ask a patron to leave, on reasonable grounds, including safety, intoxication, disruptive or offensive behaviour, or a breach of these terms.
2. The right is reserved to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised programmes, artists, prices, venue and seating arrangements as necessary.
3. A ticket is valid only when purchased through an authorised ticket seller (e.g. Auckland Theatre Company, ASB Waterfront Theatre. Auckland Live and Ticketmaster are authorised ticketing agents for select shows at the ASB Waterfront Theatre, and Auckland Theatre Company and iTicket are authorised ticketing agents for Auckland Theatre Company shows at Q Theatre).
4. Each person, including children, must have a ticket.
5. Tickets will not be refunded once they have been purchased and cannot be exchanged for tickets to a different production, except as required by law. You may be able to move your tickets to another performance of the same production; see Fees below.
6. Tickets are for personal use. You may give your tickets to someone else, but you must not resell them, or offer them for resale, for more than the price you paid, or resell them commercially (including through resale websites or marketplaces), or use them for promotions, competitions or prizes without ATC’s written consent. ATC may cancel tickets that are bought or resold in breach of this clause and refuse entry to the holder. Concession and discounted tickets may only be used by a person who meets the eligibility criteria for that price type.
7. Any payments for tickets will be held by ATC as stakeholder (and not beneficially) in a separate bank account until the performance for which the tickets were purchased has taken place.
8. On account credit is valid for 24 months from the date it was created.
9. For any tickets purchased online or in person at a discounted price, it will be necessary to show the relevant ID at the venue. Refer to  the Concessions and Discounted Tickets section for more detail on discounted pricing.
10. Cameras, and other recording devices are prohibited in the venue’s auditorium unless specific permission has been granted by the Venue’s Management.
11. Mobile phones, pagers and all other electrical devices must be turned off before entry into the venue’s auditorium.
12. The right is reserved to refuse admission to a ticket holder who arrives late to a venue. The ticket holder may not be allocated to their designated seat or area, until there is a convenient break in the program, if any, or at interval.
13. Patrons who disrupt a performance, or who are in use or possession of a prohibited object may be asked to leave the venue without refund of ticket purchase. Patrons who fail to produce concession ID as appropriate may be asked to pay the difference to the full price or refused entry.
14. Tickets must be retained throughout the performance.
15. If other conditions apply, they are displayed at the ASB Waterfront Theatre Box Office.
16. In the event Auckland Theatre Company needs to cancel a performance, you will be entitled to transfer to another date, honouring the price that you paid for tickets, take a credit, or request a refund. Date and seating options subject to availability.
17. In the event Auckland Theatre Company needs to postpone a performance, you can exchange to a new performance date. If the new performance date/s are not suitable for you to attend, you will be entitled to a refund.
18. If Auckland Theatre Company makes a material change to a performance, such as a change of venue, or a change to the start time of more than one hour, the same options apply as for a cancellation. Cast changes, including understudies, are not a material change.

Auckland Theatre Company operates a dynamic pricing model where ticket prices many vary as demand dictates.   The price you pay is fixed at the time of purchase.

Concessions and Discounted Tickets

19. Concession prices are usually available for full-time secondary and tertiary students, people aged 15 and younger and Community Service Card holders, where proof of concession is provided.
20. Concession prices are available only in the A and B Reserve only.
21. Concession prices are subject to dynamic pricing at ATC’s discretion.
22. For Secondary and Tertiary students, proof of enrolment can be in the form of a student ID or email confirmation of enrolment.
23. For all discounts and concessions, including but not limited to Concession, Arts Industry and 30 and Under ticket types, eligibility and availability are at ATC's sole discretion and may be withdrawn or amended at any time before purchase.
24. Auckland Theatre Company reserves the right to cap the number of discounted tickets available, or add or remove price types at their sole discretion.
25. Where a price has been added, Auckland Theatre Company has no legal requirement under consumer law to reimburse the price difference or provide a refund simply because an item went on sale after the purchase of a product.
26. Auckland Theatre Company are not obliged to offer discounted pricing for all performances.

Fees

27. Ticket sales via the Auckland Theatre Company or ASB Waterfront Theatre website are fees free.
28. Tickets purchased over the phone or over the counter incur a transaction fee of $6 per ticket.
29. Tickets may be moved to another performance of the same production, subject to availability and ATC’s discretion. Non-subscription exchanges incur a fee of $7 per ticket exchanged plus any difference between the price paid and the current price of the new ticket. A Discounted price type only applies to the new performance if that price type is on sale for it.
30. Ticketing fees will not be charged where another ticketing policy states that fees will be waived.
